About

SaffronSaffron Bryant is an Australian author with a passion for fantasy and science fiction. She began writing at a very early age and hasn’t stopped since.

She has a degree in Biomedical Science (with honours) and recently completed a PhD in chemistry at the University of Sydney.

Unfortunately her cupboard didn’t open onto Narnia, she didn’t get a letter from Hogwarts, and a strange man in a blue box hasn’t shown up… (here’s hoping for an old Wizard on my 50th!!)

So she spends her time writing stories and releasing them to the world.

~Happy Reading!~

Read Saffron’s best-selling sci-fi series The Nova Chronicles, for a gripping action adventure.

  1. I was really interested in reading your sci-fi series and was surprised to read in your Amazon bio that you had suffered from a brain tumor, more surprised though that “Thanks to the fundraising efforts of her community she was able to have surgery in 2011.”

What happened to Medicare and why did you have to fund-raise for something that should have been yours for free, by right?

Why is your Amazon bio different to you one on here?

    • Hi Bob,

Thank you for your comment. I hope that you enjoyed the Nova Chronicles!

In answer to your other questions: I wrote the two bios at different times, I guess I was just focusing on different things!
And, Medicare would have covered me if I’d had the surgery in Brisbane (I was living in Far North Queensland at the time), but didn’t cover the surgery in Sydney (I would have had to move to New South Wales). Without getting into details, the option in Sydney was far superior and safer to what Brisbane offered – completely different surgeries. So, I made the decision to try and gather the money and go with the safer option, rather than just go to Brisbane… I couldn’t beleive the level of support I received – it was beyond description.

I hope that makes sense, and thank you for dropping by!

    • Oh, forgot to mention, Nova books 1 through 5, captivating, I did not want to stop reading these. Just started #6.

      • Hi Thomas,

Thank you very much for your comments! I’m so glad that you’ve enjoyed the Nova Chronicles, hopefully you’ll find the next 5 just as entertaining!

If you ever get a chance to leave a review wherever you bought them, I’d really appreciate it – they can make all the difference to an author. 🙂

Thank you again, I love hearing from happy readers!

    • Hey Al,

Thank you for your comment! I’m glad that you enjoyed Survivor and I hope you like the rest of the series. If you ever have time I would really appreciate you leaving a review on Amazon to let other readers know what you thought!
If there are any typos that really stick out to you you can always shoot me an email and I’ll fix them up in later editions (Unfortunately some always slip through, no matter how many people have read the draft!)

Thanks again for getting in touch 🙂

I hope you have an excellent weekend.
